News: 15 hours agoJones (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Atlanta, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Spin: Jones started the week as a non-participant before upgrading to limited participation Thursday and a full session Friday. He's played more than 80 percent of offensive snaps each game this season, but he's averaging only 2.8 catches for 29.2 yards, and he's seen just 10 targets in the three games Kenny Golladay has played. A matchup with the feeble Atlanta defense could help, though Jones was shut down by a similarly vulnerable Jacksonville unit last week.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Jones, Kenny Golladay and Danny Amendola played 12 games together last season. The target breakdown in those weeks were as follows: Jones had 86 (20% share), Golladay had 85 (20%), and Amendola saw 78 (18%). When Jones was out during Weeks 15-17, Golladay only edged Amendola 23-20 (24%-21%) in that category. This trio is probably closer than you realize in usage, which may lead to Jones being undervalued in fantasy again. He's now 30, but Jones has scored nine touchdowns in two of the past three seasons and was on pace for nine in 2018 prior to an injury. He finished 14th, 27th and 20th in fantasy points per game during that span.
