News: 2 hours agoKittle brought in five of eight targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' 23-17 win over the Commanders on Monday night.

Spin: Kittle was one of Brock Purdy's most effective targets on the night, finishing with the 49ers' second-highest reception, receiving yardage and target totals. The athletic tight end also was on the other end of Brock Purdy's one touchdown pass, recording an 11-yard scoring grab to cap off the opening possession of the night. Kittle has at least four receptions in five consecutive games and Monday night's receiving yardage total or higher in four of his first six contests of the season, affording him plenty of momentum heading into a Week 7 road matchup against the Falcons on Sunday.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Kittle is undoubtedly among the best tight ends in the NFL and fantasy, but he simply can't dodge the injury bug. The 2017 fifth-round pick has played one full season (2018) and tore an Achilles in the team's wild-card victory after missing six regular-season games last season. Kittle may be ready for Week 1 and isn't expected to miss more than a game or two, though he's now 32 years old and might not be his usual, dominant self even when he returns. Kittle has finished sixth or better in fantasy PPG in each of the past eight seasons (including first in 2024), so his upside makes him worth a late-round flier.
