News: 7 days agoWatson (not injury-related) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Spin: While Watson remains on the Texans' roster, he's on track to be on the team's inactive list for the rest of the season. Tyrod Taylor is in line to handle Houston's starting quarterback duties this weekend, with Davis Mills slated to serve as his backup.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Watson has finished as a top-5 fantasy QB each of the past three seasons and it could have been four if not for an injury as a rookie in 2017. The dual-threat athlete has ranked in the top 6 among QBs in rushing yards each of the past three seasons, while adding 15 TDs with his legs along the way. Watson's passing ability continues to improve, as he paced the NFL in passing yards (4,823) and YPA (8.9), while posting a 33-to-7 TD-to-INT mark. The 25-year-old's off-field issues leave his NFL future in doubt and, even if he plays, his supporting cast ranks among the league's worst. Watson is a strong QB1 when active, but he'll be a risky investment in fantasy drafts until his legal issues are sorted.
