News: 1 day agoBarkley (hamstring/back) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Washington.
Spin: After missing the first two practices of Week 8 prep, Barkley was able to practice in a limited capacity Friday as he deals with a lingering hamstring injury and a new back issue that he sustained Monday against the Cowboys. Earlier Friday, he told Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com, "I would hope so," when asked if he's playing Sunday. With no designation to speak of on the final practice report, Barkley is in the clear ahead of the weekend, and he likely will retain a workhorse role due to the otherwise banged-up nature of the Eagles backfield.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Barkley is looking to rebound in his ninth NFL season (third with the Eagles) following a big step back in 2025. After producing 2,283 yards and 15 touchdowns on 378 touches in his first season with Philly, Barkley dipped to 1,413 yards and nine scores on 317 touches in 2025. Barkley fell from first among backs in fantasy points per game (22.5) to 15th (14.5). Now 29 years old, it's possible Barkley's best days are behind him, but he's still positioned as a clear feature back in a good offense that will have a healthier line and a new playcaller in Sean Mannion. Barkley is riskier than ever, but he's still worthy of mid- to back-end RB1 consideration.
