- Why Yates believes patience will pay off with Breece Hall
- Breece Hall's NFL draft profile
News: 5 days agoHall carried the ball five times for 15 yards in Friday's 24-21 win over the Eagles in preseason action.
Spin: Hall split work with Michael Carter during the team's first two offensive possessions and then watched the rest of the contest from the sidelines. It was a fairly nondescript performance from Hall, though he did close his debut with an eight-yard rush. Most importantly, he appears to have left the game fully healthy, which keeps him in line to serve as the Jets' lead back in Week 1 of the regular season.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Hall was selected by the Jets in the second round of April's draft. He is a well-built, three-down back who racked up 3,044 yards and 41 TDs on 532 carries during his final two seasons at Iowa State. Hall has passing-game chops, having caught 93 passes during three FBS seasons, and he rushed for a TD in an NCAA-record 24 consecutive games to finish his career. He's one of the youngest backs in this year's rookie class and he crushed the combine, running a 4.39 40-yard dash and posting a class-best 40-inch vert and 126-inch broad jump. Hall profiles as a potential feature back with a high fantasy ceiling, though Michael Carter will remain involved, especially in the passing game. Hall's combination of talent and opportunity should land him in the RB2 mix in 2022.
