News: 3 days agoOdunze caught two of three targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 59-37 win over the Panthers.

Spin: In the highest-scoring Week 1 game in NFL history, Odunze didn't get much of a chance to contribute, with Kalif Raymond (8-84-0 on nine targets) and Luther Burden (5-63-0 on five targets) getting more looks from Caleb Williams and the ground game accounting for six of the Bears' eight TDs. Better days should be ahead for Odunze, perhaps as soon as Week 2 at home against the Vikings.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Odunze opened the 2025 season with a bang, scoring five touchdowns in his first four games and producing 15-plus fantasy points in each game. Things fell apart from there, as the 2024 first-round pick went on to deliver one touchdown and two double-digit fantasy outings over his next eight games prior to missing Weeks 14 through 18 due to injury. On the plus side, Odunze remained heavily targeted throughout the season, especially near the goal line, and he is ninth in the NFL with 24 end zone targets since he was drafted. On the other hand, his connection with Caleb Williams needs work, as his 48% catch rate ranked near the basement at the position. Odunze, 24, is still ascending and has a clearer path to targets with DJ Moore out of the mix. He's a candidate for a Year 3 leap and should be valued as a WR3 with upside.
