News: 5 days agoWarren rushed eight times for 29 yards and caught three of four targets for 23 receiving yards in Sunday's 23-18 win over the Raiders.

Spin: Warren saw his workload increase against Las Vegas as Mike Tomlin alluded to earlier in the week, but the added touches did not come at the expense of starter Najee Harris (19-65-0). Pittsburgh's coaching staff wound up increasing both backs' overall usage with a balanced offensive strategy that resulted in a win. Neither player stood out in the box score Sunday, so the backfield picture figures to remain the same for the 2-1 Steelers. Warren should still sniff double-digit touches in an expanded backup role against the Texans next Sunday.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: The Steelers signed Warren after he went undrafted last April and he impressed enough that the team handed him an offensive role at the expense of feature back Najee Harris. Granted it wasn't a huge role (105 touches in 16 games), but Warren played well, ranking top 15 among RBs in yards per carry (4.92) and yards per target (6.3). The 24-year-old has no standalone fantasy value, but he'd be on the RB2/flex radar in the event that Harris were to miss time (something he's yet to do through two seasons). Warren is a fine late-round flier and bench option.
