News: 3 days agoColeman caught his lone target for one yard in the Bills' 36-31 win over the Texans on Sunday.
Spin: Buffalo continued to use a rotation at wide receiver to open the 2026 campaign. While DJ Moore paced the group with 26 routes on Josh Allen's 32 dropbacks, Khalil Shakir (20), Coleman (19) and Joshua Palmer (13) fell in line behind him. Between Coleman and Palmer, it was the latter who had the big play, recording what proved to be the game-winning 34-yard touchdown catch with 1:37 left in the fourth quarter. Coleman was targeted on the subsequent failed two-point conversion, and he'll likely need an injury ahead of him to have any fantasy appeal.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: So far, so bust for Coleman, who has struggled to make an impact after being selected 33rd overall in the 2024 draft. After flashing in a situational deep-threat role as a rookie (15.0 aDOT), Coleman saw more high percentage looks in 2025 (11.2 aDOT). That led to a much better catch rate (from 51% to 66%), but a big dip in yardage (19.2 YPR to 10.9). Coleman has yet to emerge as a reliable, full-time starter and was even a healthy scratch at times last season. Perhaps the 23-year-old will make a Year 3 leap with Joe Brady now running the show, but he'll have his hands full overtaking DJ Moore and Khalil Shakir atop the depth chart. Coleman is only worth a late flier in deeper leagues.
