Spin: Wright practiced without limitations Wednesday but took a step back Thursday. He missed Miami's Week 3 loss to the Chiefs due to a foot injury but returned in Week 4 against the Vikings. Wright was outplayed by Ollie Gordon against Minnesota, and Gordon is likely in line to get the majority of rushing opportunities Sunday against the Bengals, regardless of Wright's status.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Wright will once again compete with second-year Ollie Gordon II for backup reps behind feature back De'Von Achane. Wright has barely cleared 70 touches during each of his first two NFL seasons, but he has shined at times, including a 24-107-1 rushing line in Week 14 last season. The 2024 fourth-round pick has been effective as a rusher, but hasn't been involved in the passing game (15 targets in 25 games). The 23-year-old would be worth adding only in the event of an Achane injury and even then, it's possible he would split (or be on the short end of a committee) with Gordon in a rebuilding offense that may not score very often.
