News: 6 days agoLeonard is inactive for Sunday's game against the Commanders in London as the Colts' emergency No. 3 quarterback.
Spin: Leonard hasn't been active for any of the Colts' first four games after Anthony Richardson beat him out for the No. 2 job coming out of the preseason. The second-year player out of Notre Dame will only be available in the event both starter Daniel Jones and Richardson are unable to finish the game.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Leonard is expected to operate as the Colts' No. 2 quarterback this season. It's a notable designation, as starter Daniel Jones continues to recover from a torn Achilles suffered in Week 14 last season. Should Jones miss time to begin the 2026 season, Leonard is positioned to start. Leonard made one start as a rookie, throwing for 270 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 21 yards and an additional score, primarily against Houston's backup defense in Week 18. The 2025 sixth-round pick adds value with his legs, but he'd be no more than a fringe QB2 even if called on to start.
