News: 3 days agoPrice (chest) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Spin: Price saw his practice participation during Week 4 prep decline due to a chest injury before he was ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers. The injury is severe enough for the rookie first-rounder to go on IR, meaning Price will be forced to miss at least the next four games and won't be eligible to return until at least Week 8 against the Bears on Sunday, Nov. 2. Emanuel Wilson and George Holani will serve as the Seahawks' top running backs for Week 4 due to Price's absence, but Zach Charbonnet (knee) could also be in the mix for backfield duties as soon as Week 5 against the 49ers if he's activated from the reserve/PUP list.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Price was selected by the Seahawks with the No. 32 overall pick of April's draft. Price managed only 280 career carries while stuck behind Jeremiyah Love at Notre Dame, but he showed well, posting a 4.13 YAC (second best in this rookie class) and 3.6 forced missed tackle rate (third best). He wasn't a factor as a receiver, however, totaling 15 receptions in 41 games. Price has a path to an immediate feature role in Seattle's run-first offense, though he may eventually defer substantial work to Zach Charbonnet (ACL recovery). Value Price as a flex, though he should land on the weekly RB2 radar while Charbonnet is sidelined.
