News: 3 hours agoCooper (ankle) is "week-to-week," and the hope is he returns "within the next four weeks," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Spin: Cooper underwent an MRI after spraining his ankle in Sunday's victory over the Titans, and per the report he received "positive news" and could be back at some point in the next month. Isaiah Williams picked up the bulk of the work in Cooper's place in Week 1, and he figures to see extra snaps until the rookie first-round pick is ready to return.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Cooper was selected by the Jets in the first round of April's draft. The Indiana product is fresh off a breakout 2025 season in which he posted a 69-937-13 receiving line after totaling 46 catches during his first three seasons with the Hoosiers. Primarily a perimeter target in limited action from 2022 to 2024, Cooper aligned in the slot on 80% of his routes last season. He is a short-area target (9.0 aDOT last season), but still posted strong efficiency numbers, including a 2.61 YPRR. He'll begin his career behind Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell in New York's Geno Smith-led offense and is unlikely to produce consistent flex value as a rookie.
