News: 14 hours agoPatrick secured two of five targets for 16 yards in Thursday's 17-14 loss to the Browns.

Spin: Patrick played on 94 percent of the the Broncos' offensive snaps, but he was essentially a non-factor Thursday night. The Denver offense had trouble getting anything going, which ultimately impacted Patrick's ability to produce for fantasy. Unfortunately for 27-year-old wideout, he is likely to see a drop in playing time and target share as fellow wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is set to return from his ankle injury that landed him on IR. Patrick has been solid for the Broncos in Jeudy's absence, but he will be difficult to trust in fantasy lineups once Jeudy takes the field. Up next for the Broncos is a matchup against Washington in Week 8.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: After not seeing much work during his first three NFL seasons (74 targets), Patrick was vaulted into a larger workload in 2020. The 2017 UDFA posted a 51-742-6 receiving line on 78 targets and was WR44 in fantasy. He didn't drop a single pass, and his 9.5 YPT was 15th best at the position. Patrick seems to have earned a consistent role in the pros, but he has a lot of competition for targets this season with Courtland Sutton back from injury and youngsters Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler and Noah Fant all in the mix. Further complicating the 27-year-old's upside is a run-first Denver offense lacking a proven QB. Patrick is worth your attention only in very deep leagues.
