News: 2 days agoCuevas caught two of three targets for 35 yards during the Ravens' 35-13 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
Spin: Cuevas connected with Tyler Huntley on a 16-yard pass on the Ravens' first offensive play of the game, but the duo didn't find each other again until late in the third quarter on a 19-yarder. Cuevas had only one catch for 14 yards through the first four games of the regular season, but the rookie fifth-rounder has an 8-105-1 line on 10 targets over his last three outings. That coincides with Huntley being under center, but the Ravens are expecting Lamar Jackson (ankle) to return for Week 8 against the Bills on Nov. 1.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Cuevas was selected by the Ravens in the fifth round of April's draft. Cuevas wasn't targeted much during three collegiate seasons at Washington and Alabama (57-793-6, 5% target share), but he was effective when called on, averaging 10.4 yards per target. He's a bit of a tweener and underwhelmed athletically at the combine, but can help as a blocker and receiver. He'll battle fellow rookie Matthew Hibner for snaps behind Mark Andrews and Durham Smythe this season.
