ESPN Fantasy Projection: Heidenreich was selected by the Steelers in the seventh round of April's draft. Heidenreich is an intriguing prospect, as he's a tweener who could play running back or receiver in the pros. The Navy product never cleared 77 carries in a single season, but did post a 51-941-6 receiving line in 2025. For his career, he averaged 6.85 yards per carry and evaded one tackle for every 5.9 touches, both of which are best in this RB rookie class. He'll likely max out as a gadget player behind Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle.
