News: 2 days agoWorthy caught three of six targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Broncos.
Spin: Worthy put together another disappointing performance, reeling in three passes while failing to exceed 15 receiving yards for the second straight game. The wide receiver operated in a more prominent role for a couple weeks with Rashee Rice sidelined with a hamstring injury, but Rice returned to action Sunday and caught seven of eight targets for 53 yards. Worthy will continue to be an unappealing fantasy option ahead of the team's Week 9 matchup with the Jets.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: After impressing as a rookie with 101 touches and 12 touchdowns in 20 games (including the playoffs), Worthy had the look of an emerging star. Things didn't go as planned in Year 2, though, as the 2024 first-round pick was injured on his third snap of the season and wasn't productive or utilized as much as expected upon his return. Worthy was limited to one touchdown (Week 6) and reached 12 fantasy points once in 14 games (Week 4). The speedy Worthy is still only 23 years old, so a Year 3 breakout is certainly possible, especially with Rashee Rice and 36-year-old Travis Kelce as his only legit target competition. He's worth a late flier.
