News: 4 hours agoAllen will remain the Jets' No. 1 back for Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Dolphins, as Breece Hall has been declared inactive for the contest.
Spin: With Hall unavailable for a fourth straight game Sunday, Allen will have a chance to build on the averages of 18.3 rush attempts, 84.3 rushing yards, 1.7 receptions and 11.3 receiving yards he's generated in the lead role over his teammate's first three absences. Despite their winless record, the Dolphins have been respectable defending the run, allowing 4.0 yards per carry to running backs, albeit while also conceding a 25-197-5 receiving line to the position.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Hopes were high for Allen entering 2025, but a slow start was followed by a season-ending knee injury in Week 4. During Weeks 1-3, Allen played 28% of the Jets' snaps and totaled 67 yards and one touchdown on 16 touches. The 2024 fourth-round pick has shown he can contribute as both a rusher (110 career carries) and receiver (32 targets), but he's simply not going to see the field much as long as feature back Breece Hall is healthy. Allen, 22, has some late-round insurance stash appeal, as he'd likely start over Isaiah Davis in the event of a Hall injury and would thus find himself on the flex radar.
