News: 2 days agoCooper caught all five of his targets for 115 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-25 loss to the Dolphins.
Spin: Cooper topped 100 receiving yards with a TD for the second time in as many games since returning from an ankle injury sustained in his regular-season debut. The rookie 30th overall pick had a 52-yard catch in the first quarter and a 60-yard catch in the third, then added a three-yard touchdown reception three plays after the second long catch. Cooper has been a big-play machine when healthy, and he'll look to build on his strong start in Week 8 against the Raiders.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Cooper was selected by the Jets in the first round of April's draft. The Indiana product is fresh off a breakout 2025 season in which he posted a 69-937-13 receiving line after totaling 46 catches during his first three seasons with the Hoosiers. Primarily a perimeter target in limited action from 2022 to 2024, Cooper aligned in the slot on 80% of his routes last season. He is a short-area target (9.0 aDOT last season), but still posted strong efficiency numbers, including a 2.61 YPRR. He'll begin his career behind Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell in New York's Geno Smith-led offense and is unlikely to produce consistent flex value as a rookie.
