Mike Zimmer on the loss of Anthony Barr and how things will change defensively without him: "It might change the approach. We have to see how things are, but really the, I mean, this is no knock on Anthony because I love him. He's a great football player, but you know, that leadership and the intelligence that he has, the way that myself and him can communicate during the game about different things and formations and adjustments. I think that will be a big loss, a big difference."

Mike Zimmer on whether the mistakes made so far this season are correctable: "I don't know. I've been telling them we can't start winning until we stop losing and right now we are doing things to beat ourselves with the turnovers and sacks and safeties and penalties on third downs on defense. I'm just not going to deal with it anymore."

Colts put up 15 unanswered points in a first half that's played out in eerily similar fashion to Minnesota's Week 1 loss. The Vikings offense fell apart after a solid opening drive and ended the half in disaster after Kirk Cousins was sacked for a safety in the endzone for a second-straight week and then threw an interception into double coverage on the following drive. It's difficult to discern what's more concerning for this team: its pass blocking or run defense.

Second-round OL Ezra Cleveland is active for Week 2 with Dru Samia in line to start at right guard for Pat Elflein. Fourth-round DE DJ Wonnum is also active for the first time today. INACTIVES: CB Cameron Dantzler (rib), CB Harrison Hand, WR Chad Beebe, DE Eddie Yarbrough, OL Oli Udoh, DT James Lynch.

Vikings right guard Pat Elflein, who was not on Wednesday's injury report, was just placed on injured reserve by the team and will miss the next three games at a minimum with a return possible ahead of Week 5's road game in Seattle. Minnesota's O-line depth takes a hit. Appears Dru Samia would be in line to start Sunday in Indianapolis for Elflein given rookie Ezra Cleveland (back up left guard) wasn't even active last week.

Dalvin Cook reiterated throughout the offseason that he wanted a "reasonable" deal to reflect his worth on/off the field. Does his 5-year, $63 million extension fulfill that? Cook: "I think 1000 percent, all around the situation reflects who Dalvin Cook is and what I bring to the table, and that's why the deal got done."
