ESPN Fantasy Projection: Hamilton appeared in 77 games last season, his most since the 2022-23 campaign. The additional playing time didn't result in big numbers, however, as Hamilton managed just a dozen goals and 39 points. Part of the dip in production was the fact Hamilton's power-play usage was down in a major way. He averaged just 2:04 per game with the man advantage compared to 2:54 per game a year prior. Hamilton's fantasy value is directly tied to his ability to regain a role on New Jersey's No. 1 power-play unit. Simon Nemec has been shipped to Calgary, but Luke Hughes is still around to battle Hamilton for the job. There's enough upside here to make Hamilton a worthy mid-round fantasy dice roll, but there's no guarantee the gamble pays off.
