News: 3 days agoGibson stopped 32 shots in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to New Jersey.
Spin: The 33-year-old was the busier netminder on the night as Detroit got outshot 37-27. Gibson also couldn't do much to deny the OT winner after Jack Hughes got sprung for a clean breakaway. Gibson has started five of the Red Wings' first six games this season. He has posted a 1-3-1 record with a shaky 3.76 GAA and .863 save percentage. It's unclear how long his leeway as the team's No. 1 goalie will last before Daniil Tarasov gets a chance.
