ESPN Fantasy Projection: Hughes came very close to cracking the point-per-game mark for the first time in his career last season, finishing with seven goals and 76 points in 78 games. His seven tallies were especially admirable considering he scored just once in his first 35 games. As expected, Hughes did most of his damage with the man advantage. His 34 points a man up tied Hughes with Miro Heiskanen of the Stars for most in the league among defenders. Hughes' hit/block totals were very low for a rearguard (100 combined last season), but this type of offensive production is nearly impossible to find from the back end. Hughes should continue to provide eye-popping offensive totals while disappointing in the hit and block categories in 2023-24.
