ESPN Fantasy Projection: Nurse's 11-year run in Edmonton came to an end in July when he was traded to the Sharks. He had arguably his worst season to date in his final campaign with the Oilers, managing just seven goals, 24 points, and a minus-12 rating in 82 games. Nurse doesn't get any power-play time anymore and that's unlikely to change with his new club. The 31-year-old should log heavy defensive minutes for a young San Jose team, but Nurse's fantasy value these days is limited to formats which value hits and blocked shots. There simply isn't enough offensive production to make him an option in standard formats.
