ESPN Fantasy Projection: Toews started last season ice cold, failing to pick up a point in his first nine games. He also missed 14 games due to injury, with his final line of three goals and 24 points in 68 appearances well below his normal rate. Toews' average ice time was down more than two full minutes to 22:22 per game, while his 115 shots on goal were the fewest since his rookie year of 2018-19. On a more positive note, Toews did post a plus-37 rating. This is a player that deserves the benefit of the doubt given his past production, but with Cale Makar firmly in charge of Colorado's No. 1 power-play unit, Toews is more floor than ceiling from a fantasy standpoint.
