ESPN Fantasy Projection: Appearing in all 82 games last season for a second year in a row, Schmaltz set new career-best marks in goals (33), points (74), plus/minus (plus-17) and shots on goal (205). He has finished with 20-plus power-play points three years running. Schmaltz's 16.1 percent shooting percentage was higher than the last two years, but nowhere near the highest mark of his career. Set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, Schmaltz signed a fresh eight-year, $64 million extension with the Mammoth in March. Locked into a role on Utah's suddenly formidable No. 1 power-play unit, Schmaltz should return a similar level of production for at least the next few years, making him an underrated fantasy play.
