ESPN Fantasy Projection: Sorokin finished second in Vezina Trophy voting for the NHL's top goaltender last season despite the fact the Islanders missed the playoffs. He won 29 games in addition to posting a league-leading seven shutouts. Sorokin's 2.68 GAA was his best mark in three seasons while he once again posted a save percentage over .900 (.906), as he has in each of his six years in the league. The Isles have been careful not to overwork Sorokin in recent years, but he should once again be good for 55-plus appearances, health permitting. In a league in which workhorse goaltenders are largely a thing of the past, Sorokin is an easy No. 1 fantasy netminder for the 2026-27 campaign.
