Spin: Daccord drew the start during Saturday's preseason opener and played two periods before being replaced by Nikke Kokko. Daccord was perfect before being pulled, strengthening his case for the No. 1 goaltending job once the regular season gets underway, though he could split time with Philipp Grubauer. Daccord went 20-20-6 with a 3.03 GAA and .896 save percentage across 47 regular-season appearances with Seattle last year.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Daccord dealt with a few nagging injuries a season ago and the end result was a 20-20-6 record along with a career-worst 3.03 GAA and .896 save percentage. The fact the Kraken finished with the sixth-worst point percentage in the NHL didn't help matters. Seattle would absolutely prefer Daccord find his game and reestablish himself as the team's unquestioned starter, but there's no doubt backup Philipp Grubauer outperformed him a year ago. Daccord is by no means guaranteed the lion's share of the playing time, and when you take into account the Kraken don't appear primed to take a step forward from a team standpoint, you can likely find a better option in your fantasy draft.
