Spin: Marchment got a look alongside Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith for this game. If that trio holds into the regular season, Marchment will get a significant boost in fantasy value. It's still possible the 31-year-old winger is just a placeholder for Ivar Stenberg on the top line, but Marchment came to San Jose on a five-year, $33.75 million contract, so he is all but guaranteed to play a prominent role regardless of his linemates.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Marchment's tenure in Seattle lasted all of about two months. He showed little (13 points in 29 games) with the Kraken before a December trade to Columbus. Marchment fit in much better with the 'Jackets, potting 15 goals and 32 points in 39 games with his new club. While the sudden breakout was nice, Marchment is now 31 years old and has never posted more than 22 goals and 53 points in any single season. Even if his heater continues into the 2026-27 campaign, it's hard to see Marchment finishing with more than 25 goals and 60 points.
