ESPN Fantasy Projection: Silovs got into 39 games in his first season with the Penguins after appearing in just 19 contests over the course of his first three years in the league with Vancouver. Silovs' 19-12-8 record was fine, but his 3.07 GAA and .887 save percentage left much to be desired. As the only goaltender on the Pittsburgh roster with any significant NHL experience, Silovs is the favorite to open the upcoming season as the starter for the Pens, although he will be pressured for playing time by youngsters Sergei Murashov and Joel Blomqvist.
