Fantasy Hockey
News: 2 days agoGuenther is aiming to contribute more deflection and tip-in goals this season, per Cole Bagley of KSL Sports on Wednesday.
Spin: Guenther had 40 goals and 73 points in 79 regular-season appearances with Utah in 2025-26. His shooting percentage climbed to a career-high 16.5, which is a bit concerning and might indicate that he's due for a modest regression in goals. However, if he can do more damage close to the net this season, then that would help him repeat his strong results from 2025-26.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: A year ago this time was your last chance to get Guenther at any sort of reasonable price on draft day. Now, fresh off a season in which he posted a career-high 40 goals, 73 points, and 242 shots on goal in 79 games, those days have come and gone. Guenther racked up another 24 power-play points a season ago and over the past two years, has a whopping 53 points with the man advantage. Did we mention he won't turn 24 years old until next April? The Mammoth are an ascending team and Guenther is at the forefront of that. He's amongst the best young players in the NHL and should be drafted as such in fantasy leagues.
