ESPN Fantasy Projection: A career-minor leaguer prior to last season, Bussi emerged on the scene for the Hurricanes going 31-6-2 with a 2.47 GAA and .894 save percentage in 39 appearances. Bussi began the playoffs on the bench before taking over for Frederik Andersen in Game 3 of the Finals and helping Carolina to their second Stanley Cup Championship. As great as Bussi played at times, he was certainly aided by playing behind arguably the best defensive team in the league. And while it would be easy to crown him the starter for the 'Canes in 2026-27, coach Rod Brind'Amour has almost always gone with a committee in net. Expect Bussi and Pyotr Kochetkov to split time in goal for Carolina this coming season.
