News: 20 hours agoSennecke recorded three goals, including one on the power play, on three shots and two PIM during Sunday's 6-2 preseason win over the Sharks.
Spin: Sennecke was a strong contributor during his first NHL regular season last year, posting 23 goals, 37 assists, 97 hits, 62 PIM and 24 blocked shots while averaging 17:27 of ice time. He was dominant to begin the preseason, potting two goals in the second period before completing the hat trick in the final frame. The 20-year-old should occupy a top-six role with the Ducks once again during the 2026-27 season.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Sennecke was never going to win the Calder Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year as long as Matthew Schaefer was around, but following a freshman campaign in which he appeared in all 82 games and posted 23 goals and 60 points, the future is bright for the former No. 3 overall pick (2024). The fact Sennecke only managed one tally with the man advantage is remarkable considering he averaged 2:21 worth of power-play time per game. If that number reverts to the mean in 2026-27, he could easily pot 30 goals without much further improvement. Of course, at age 20, there will be massive improvements. This is probably the last year to get Sennecke at any sort of reasonable price on draft day.
