ESPN Fantasy Projection: Fresh off his career-best season in 2020-21 featuring 12 goals and 42 points in 55 games, Petry burned any fantasy manager who selected him a year ago. Playing for the league-worst Canadiens, Petry finished with 27 points and a minus-11 rating in 68 games. His average power-play time dropped from 2:22 to just 1:43. Montreal decided to pull the plug in July, moving Petry to the Penguins in a deal involving fellow rearguard Mike Matheson. Playing for a better club should help Petry's plus/minus rating rebound, but Kris Letang is the unquestioned power-play quarterback for Pittsburgh's No. 1 unit, limiting Petry's fantasy appeal. He's worth a late-round pick if your league values hits and blocks, though.
