The ball was played wide to the lively Wallace, who cut in from the right wing and saw his low cross evade everyone in the penalty box and end up in the far corner.Pompey had chances to win the game with Ryan Bird seeing two headers saved by Christy Pym in the Exeter goal, while Liam Sercombe missed Exeter's best chance in the second half after a superb run from halfway.
