James Brown effort enough for Melbourne to shock Sydney

James Brown scored the only goal as Melbourne City shocked high-flying Sydney FC on Friday.
Brown's strike nine minutes from time handed Melbourne a 1-0 win and kept Sydney a point behind league leaders Wellington Phoenix who face Brisbane Roar on Sunday.
The result also moves City five points clear of Brisbane in the race for the final playoff spot but the Roar have three games in hand.
