Sassuolo v Milan
AC Milan settle for draw with Sassuolo to maintain unbeaten run
AC Milan continued their unbeaten run in Serie A with a 1-1 draw against Sassuolo.
Adrien Rabiot's second-half opener was cancelled out by Cas Odenthal just five minutes later as Milan settled for a point which keeps them fifth in the standings having won three and drawn three league games so far.
The hosts had early opportunities through Darryl Bakola and Domenico Berardi as they looked to break the deadlock in the opening stages.
Both teams suffered injury blows early in the match as Matteo Gabbia was forced off for Milan and just six minutes later fellow defender Fedde Leysen was unable to continue for Sassuolo.
Rabiot nodded over the crossbar for Milan and the visitors had a flurry of chances towards the end of the half when Gonçalo Ramos had two shots saved by Arijanet Muric.
The Sassuolo goalkeeper was called into action again during first half stoppage-time, stopping Diego Moreira's strike and Strahinja Pavlovic's header.
Vasilije Adzic went close after the restart when his close-range effort was saved by Mike Maignan, but Milan eventually broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute.
Substitute Luka Modric threaded a pass into Rabiot on the left side of the box and the French midfielder hit a thumping strike past Muric.

However, Sassuolo piled on the pressure with Kieron Bowie and Kristian Thorstvedt testing Maignan in quick succession before Odenthal levelled in the 68th minute, hooking the ball home from a corner.
Shortly after the equaliser Samuel Chukwueze was denied by Muric, but the game fizzled out into a draw.
