Annan striker Peter Weatherson's hot run of form continued as his brace earned a dramatic 2-2 draw against Montrose.Weatherson scored his sixth goal in four games with a stoppage-time penalty to snatch a point for the home team.Montrose had taken the lead in the 11th minute when Danny Cavanagh's flick reached Stephen Day, who made no mistake in finding the corner of the net.The lead didn't last long and the dangerous Weatherson nodded home after being found at the back post by Steven Logan.Stuart McColm's audacious effort was well kept out by Joe McGovern as Annan pressed but they fell behind 14 minutes from time after a defensive mix-up.Goalkeeper Alex Mitchell failed to control the ball, leaving Leighton McIntosh to run it into an empty net.However, it was Weatherson who had the last laugh after he won the penalty before calmly slotting it home for a share of the points.
