Stranraer see off Pars to progress

Stranraer will face Premiership outfit Dundee United at home in the Scottish Cup after claiming a hard-fought 3-1 win at Dunfermline in their fourth-round replay.Gregor Buchanan almost put the Pars in front, only for his powerful header to come back off the crossbar. It was the visitors who edged ahead just after half an hour when Sean Winter struck from the edge of the box as his right-footed shot fired past home goalkeeper Ryan Scully inside his left-hand post.Winter turned provider in the 57th minute when his cross was tapped in by Stephen Stirling to double Stranraer's advantage, but Ross Millen pulled one back for Dunfermline five minutes later when successful with a spot-kick after Frank McKeown pushed Buchanan.Andy Geggan had a chance to level on 73 minutes but fired straight at keeper David Mitchell, who also saved from Sorel Chemin, but substitute Jamie Longworth settled Stranraer's nerves with a 90th-minute goal on the break.
