Ajaccio on the up after victory in the Corsican derby
GFC Ajaccio moved out of the bottom three for the first time this season with a 2-1 win at Bastia in the Corsican derby.A fourth successive league win looked unlikely for the visitors when Brandao headed Bastia in front after six minutes, converting Julien Palmieri's delivery.Ajaccio hit back, though, and levelled shortly after when Jacques Zoua converted from the penalty spot after Jean-Louis Leca brought down Khalid Boutaib.And the turnaround was complete on 70 minutes when the Bastia defence struggled to clear their lines, leaving Boutaib to volley beyond Leca from inside the area, much to the delight of the travelling fans.
