Craig Gunn's 20th Ladbrokes League Two goal of the season was not enough to give high-flying Elgin victory as visiting Montrose earned a 1-1 draw.Both sides had wayward early chances before Montrose's Adrian Mallagaray forced Mark Hurst into a parried save.Elgin immediately went up the other end and Gunn finished from Connor McLaren's pass.The Borough Briggs side dominated the rest of the half but could not double their lead despite having several chances.Those misses proved costly as Montrose came back into the game after the break and Ross Campbell's left-footed effort levelled.Darryl McHardy had a chance to win it for Elgin late on but Jordan Millar was equal to his shot.
