Berwick gave themselves extra breathing room at the bottom of Scottish League Two with a 1-0 win over Montrose.The hosts tried to force the issue as both Jordan McGregor and Blair Henderson went close to an early breakthrough but Montrose managed to keep them at bay until half-time.It looked like being a frustrating afternoon for the hosts but Henderson rose highest to head home Finn Graham's cross after 72 minutes for what could be a huge goal for Berwick.Berwick are now five points clear of bottom side East Stirling and they are just three points behind eighth-placed Montrose.
