Javier Hernandez scored his first Bundesliga goal to halt Bayer Leverkusen's slide and earn them a 1-0 win over Mainz.
The summer signing from Manchester United netted the only goal of the game midway through the second half, with a deflection off Hakan Calhanoglu helping his 20-yard effort beat Loris Karius.
Leverkusen looked nervous on the night but managed to hold on to end a three-game losing streak and move level on points with their guests.
Mainz host Bayern Munich next on Saturday with Leverkusen heading to Werder Bremen.
