Kolkata v Kerala
Atletico Kolkata go top with win over Kerala Blasters in ISL
Atletico Kolkata went top of the Indian Super League with a 2-1 win over third-placed Kerala Blasters on Tuesday.
Atletico, who have two wins and one draw from their three games to date, went ahead in the sixth minute as Iain Hume controlled the ball in the box and hammered a shot on goal which was saved by keeper Stephen Bywater but fell to Arata Izumi to slot home.
In the second half, Javi Lara made it 2-0 in the 53rd minute as he cut inside to strike home off a slight deflection.
Chris Dagnall got one back for Kerala in the 80th minute as C.K. Vineeth's header beat Juan Calatayud and was prodded into the net, but Mehtab Hossain received his second yellow of the game for a cynical foul on Valdo and the comeback stalled.
