Gateshead v Luton
Lee brothers Olly and Elliot help Luton to undo Gateshead
Brothers Olly and Elliot Lee were both on the scoresheet as Luton avoided a potential FA Cup banana skin by beating National League outfit Gateshead 5-0.The game was overshadowed by a serious injury to home defender Scott Barrow in the build-up to the first goal, clattering into his own goalkeeper Dan Hanford before a 15-minute delay saw the centre-back taken to hospital after falling unconscious. The goal itself came about following the 41st minute mix-up in the Gateshead back-line, with the ball falling to Olly Lee who slammed in from the edge of the box.Dan Potts then doubled the Hatters' advantage from a similar position in the 63rd minute, nodding an Andrew Shinnie back across goal and into the net before Elliot Lee latched onto his brother's attempted shot to slot home and end Gateshead hopes. There was still time for the hosts to hit the crossbar and post through Danny Johnson and Paddy McLaughlin respectively, but stoppage-time strikes from Danny Hylton and Luke Berry added an emphatic edge to the scoreline.
