Texas Tech QB Will Hammond is expected to be cleared for all football activities on Aug. 21, coach Joey McGuire told me today. He should be allowed to participate in player-led 7-on-7s in June. The ideal scenario is to have him game ready by Week 2, but McGuire said Hammond should be ready to play in game 3 vs. Houston.
