Sources: Maryland freshman QB Malik Washington has agreed to a deal to return to the Terps in 2026. He emerged as one of the country’s top freshman quarterbacks in 2026, breaking the school’s freshman passing record with 2,963 yards.
Washington arrived at Maryland as one of Mike Locksley’s most heralded recruits, as he ranked in the Top 150 of ESPN’s rankings. He was one of just four true freshman quarterbacks to throw for more than 200 yards in 11 games this year.
