RECAP
SARASOTA, Florida (Ticker) -- Billy McMillon doubled home the tying run and scored on a single by Jose Macias in the top of the ninth inning to lift the Detroit Tigers to a 5-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds in a Grapefruit League game. The Reds had taken a 4-3 lead in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly by D.T. Cromer off Matt Anderson (2-0). Anderson picked up the win when the Tigers rallied and David Borkowski pitched a hitless ninth for the save. Juan Encarnacion had an RBI single and Macias added a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Juan Castro highlighted a three-run second inning for Cincinnati with a two-run double. Cincinnati starter Rob Bell was hit on the right bicep by a line drive off the bat of Jermaine Clark in the fourth inning. X-rays were negative. He allowed two runs and five hits in 3 2/3 innings. Detroit starter Steve Sparks pitched five innings and yielded three runs and five hits.
