- Can the Bucs repeat with the bull's-eye on their back?
News: 3 hours agoGronkowski (undisclosed) returned to Sunday's road game versus the Rams, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Spin: Gronkowski took a big hit to his lower back and ribs in the third quarter, remaining on the ground for a spell before visiting the sideline tent and eventually the locker room. He underwent X-rays, but apparently the issue isn't serious enough to impede his ability to play.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Gronkowski made a triumphant return to the NFL last season, appearing in all 20 of Tampa Bay's games en route to a Super Bowl victory. During the regular season, Gronkowski lacked targets (4.8 per game), but made up for it (as usual) with downfield usage (he's finished all 10 of his seasons Top 10 in aDOT) and heavy volume near the goal line (he paced the position with 14 end zone targets). Gronkowski's routine disappearing act last season (six top-six fantasy weeks, but eight of 23rd or worse), coupled with the return of O.J. Howard (who out-targeted him 19 to 14 in four games together last season), suggests we should view the 32-year-old as a TD-dependent TE2.
