News: 6 days agoCobb caught three of four targets for 17 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 42-36 overtime loss to Tennessee.
Spin: Cobb remains active, ranking third on the team with 28 targets behind Brandin Cooks (42) and Will Fuller (41) through six games. Cobb's outlook was brighter a few weeks ago when Cooks and quarterback Deshaun Watson were still trying to establish chemistry, but those two have hooked up 17 times on 21 targets the last two weeks. However, Watson has chucked the ball 34 times per game (61 percent of the offensive plays), which is enough to accommodate more than two wideouts as viable fantasy producers.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Cobb signed with the Texans during the offseason following eight seasons in Green Bay and one in Dallas. Houston will look to Cobb and fellow acquisition Brandin Cooks to help replace DeAndre Hopkins, who was traded to Arizona. A fantasy standout during his early years, Cobb has missed at least one game in each of the past four seasons, failing to do better than four touchdowns during any of those campaigns. Cobb continues to dominate with the ball in his hands, as he's never finished lower than 17th in RAC, but his role has prevented him from posting a single top-30 fantasy season since 2014. Operating in a crowded WR picture that also includes Cooks, Will Fuller and Kenny Stills, Cobb is best viewed as a bench option in deep PPR leagues.
