Spin: The tight end wasn't known to be dealing with an injury in Sunday's 24-21 loss to Jacksonville, though the hamstring issue may at least partially explain why Schultz logged just 29 of 60 snaps on offense -- a season-low 48.3 percent share -- in the contest. With an absence from practice to begin Week 13 prep, Schultz's status will need to be monitored Thursday and Friday as fantasy managers look to get a better sense of his availability for this weekend's game against the Broncos. If Schultz is sidelined Sunday, Houston would be left with Brevin Jordan and Eric Saubert as its available tight ends.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Schultz signed with the Texans after spending his first five NFL seasons with the Cowboys. The 2018 fourth-round pick has finished each of the past three seasons no lower than 11th among tight ends in targets, receptions, yards and fantasy points. The veteran tight end certainly benefited from Dallas' fast-paced, high-scoring offense, so it's fair to wonder if he'll take a step back in a Houston offense with a rookie QB (C.J. Stroud). On the other hand, Houston's WR room leaves something to be desired, so Schultz's target share shouldn't change much from years past. There's some risk here as he joins a new team, but Schultz is safe to value as a fringe TE1.
